Oh, and why would I drive an ev over a diesel ?
Much cheaper to own and fuel, way less maintenance, much better traction control, much more grunt, never having to get diesel on my hands again etc etc. Even the flexibility of design that an electric skateboard platform offers absolutely bogs all over a conventional vehicle design. Compact drive units, 1 motor per wheel, battery packs that enable flat floors, much more storage space.
Have a look at that Rivian video and tell me that it doesn't have some pretty superior features.
