Definitely should launch a bid.
At least it give shareholders an option which has not been presented in the past.
It might actually get accepted. If this went hostile anyway.
Engaging for a higher value amount would be a good idea. It also signals that AWE is option to a takeover rather than a shut shop as in the past.
