@no.... see my comments above. You are correct in that parts of the management team are there, but perhaps the more significant members are not. If only we had Geoff managing ALF rather than “Junior” Justin, perhaps the performance would be better. Dont forget too, that ALF once upon a time was for domestic securities only and did extremely well for a period. Tthey then floated WGF for the overseas component....... which is now included in The ALF fund as well.
But if you look at both funds, both have been “neglected” in terms of adding value to both assets and share price. Ergo, irrespective of whether the funds have domestic or overseas stocks, both have declined in asset and share price. We can make excuses for the relatively ? poor performance, but we are paying management fees and we shouldnt have to. A bit like the government.... are they working for us, or are we working for them ?
The trouble with my investment in ALF, is that not even my money is working for me at the moment !
