The name of the company is 5th Generation Networks (5GN). Its a clever marketing name.

Not to be confused with the 5th generation (5G) of mobile communications networks that followed 4G (also known as Long Term Evolution or LTE)

5G is a platform for a lot things requiring massive scale (many connections, ultra fast connections) communications (such as driverless technologies in dense areas).

There's no coincidence or secret strategy - all public and well known. 5GN have a business plan covering the "business case" as described in the Gov't paper and in their IPO, they raised the capital to go to market and now we see if they are successful.

The spectrum that 5GN intends to operate within is stated in IPO docs which is "2.4GHz - 5GHz using wireless point-to-multipoint technology"

There is no "moat" around 5GN ... anyone else can do what they are doing. They are not going to compete against the carriers (Telstra et al). They will be an enabler of mesh networks and hybrids and maybe get some key specialization in some industry applications.
