look, you can get viable alternatives from both Coles and Woolies.
the large Home Brand freezer bags are almost the same size as these plastic bags in question and they only cost 65 cents for 40 bags.(they are a tad flimsier of course,but do the job).
sure, i understand your angst as you are a self confessed Aldi tragic and consequently almost non -Australian in your demeanor as depicted from past posts.
are you perhaps from German 'roots' and living it up here in OZ without a conscious ?.
