I promised an update on the plant getting refurbished at Jampang if I got one...
Its ten years old, located at the northern end of the Lipi deposit. Seems it was optimised for gold (no surprises there) ... so might not be ideal for maximising the value of the copper they have also been reporting (and we knew it was too small anyway). Still, once its recommissioned it shoud provide some cashflow.
Metallurgical tests currently underway should help to determine the optimal processing plant. A larger plant is most likely needed (we knew that based on the existing holes and limited projections for the small plant capacity). They could use bits of the existing plant depending on what option is taken.
So the company is already thinking about production. It was a bit of a missing link for me ... but a positive punter would think this means the resource is there and is worth it.
Anyone with thoughts on what those Mispec figures might mean for AUK?
8mt @2.4g/t with a cut off of 0.5g. Didn't incude copper or lead from what I recall.
BTW, very quick response from management so I'm quite pleased about that.
