maybe 45,000 shares could have been worth about $1500 a few years ago - but now they would be worth about 30c (allowing for consolidations).

the good news is, that if the company has a "share purchase plan", then you could toss in another $5000 (or whatever).

the gda share register, must be littered with shareholders, who have less than 100 shares.
