Up in the head waters there is algae bloom but down in the lower...

Up in the head waters there is algae bloom but down in the lower reaches I could only see normal weed and algae, couple of good strikes but to smart and swift for me on the day.. Just had Fish and game do the annual count up and they say 45 Trout per kilometre?  so in theory the 4km of river i walk and fish have moved on or I would have landed them.. For me it's as much the solitude and fresh air as catching the fish. Plenty of skinks and Geckos bathing on the rocks, birds that couldn't be bothered if you walked right up to them.. and when it gets to hot,, walk on in for a swim,, I still drink from the river while fishing and eat some of the rainbows ,especially when they have been feeding on whitebait for a week... 
Heading back out Friday; so lets get BOT above that 10.5c again
