And obviously I'm not a lawyer with all them smarts and whatnot, just a simple hillbilly from Texas, BUT, if I did want to go hire me one of dem high-fallutin lawyer types, I might ask them to start with the following:
- an Honest Opinion defence,
- or maybe a Triviality defence.
Of course, there's always an argument to be made about the potential to justify the statements, had I actually made any and/or identified an individual (which I didn't) by showing the matter to be substantially true.
Frum wut I understand, them there defecnces are a part of the QLD Def act of 2005 (sec's 31, 33 & 25, all respeckful like). Anywho, I'm just a simpleton who's lucky to get my 3 squares on the table. Lucky I got all them smart friends out there lookin out fer me....
