Look I was part of wanting Bouris gone. I was pretty vocal about that. Told to shut up quite regularly as well. (Such calls have gone on for so long, I'm immune, basically!)
If you look back as far as Bouris, you won't mind looking back at the later removal of Alan Studley who was bringing in accountability and proper management to the financials.
How was his firing ever rational?
He got fired by the troops off on the basis of a conspiracy theory involving Diasource and John Hurrell.
When you suspect conspiracy, first eliminate incompetence as a possibility.
And it seems inescapable that ADO was a victim of it's own incompetence particularly from it's former CEO. This predates the Hurrell situation as Chairman by a long way. IMO. The search for a partner had occurred well prior to that. Hurrell was only a consultant to Ferghana Partners on the science.
I'm told I'm a conspiracy theorist, but when I point out why conspiracy theories are so wrong, and based on false assumptions...it's look away!
When bankruptcy was a possibility the team that came in to save it, managed to pull off the Diasource sale....got ADO $6mil or so....then having salvaged the situation they got fired!
This is the sequence of events. It's been a debacle. Which we haven't fully recovered from mainly because we haven't faced it.
And still we have GC still on the Board and MS.
Having removed the next most competent person to Alan Studley; the former Chairman.
This is their great contribution?
Sure I'm happy that at least GC is no longer CEO. Let's be thankful for small mercies.
But if I'm such a conspiracy theorist, why wasn't GC even considered suitable to be reinstated?
Surely it's obvious he messed up. Even to his mates. Surely Studley was one of them, until it got too much.
I won't even bother to deal with the debacle of First Cape and the previous CFO. I mean, seriously.
At least some have woken up or are waking up to the actual sequence of events and what is more probable than not.
Mere conspiracy theories are redundant when you look at what GC and RM managed to preside over.
Surely it is within the scope of reasonable comment to say it was incompetence at best?!
