I hadn't realized you were in such financial good shape. A Datsun 120Y is a true collectors' item - they are pretty rare, and hard to find one on the roads.

They are a nice eco-friendly car, as they don't actually go very well, so they don't use much petrol, they don't shift much air about, and they often go with just a manual push.

The Mercedes, on the other hand, is the sort of car that if you don't turn the engine off at the servo, you're there forever.

Meanwhile, don't forget to collect all your petrol coupons from Coles when you buy your petfood that you're having to eat for dinner at the moment - that could save you several cents over a year.

And yes - gold did pull back rather severely overnight, so I'd expect LGL to stick in that down channel today. Of course, at some stage it will turn back upwards, and you will quite rightly be able to say "I told you so", but nobody likes a smartarse, so when that happens, a simple "Uh Huh" will suffice - I'll know what you mean ;)

In the meantime, don't succumb to the temptation to pawn your rose-coloured specs for a tankfull of petrol for the Datsun - you still need them.
