we acknowledge that we have impacted the climate, yet we "is" pushing for more coal-fired power stations .........
anyone can read the AEO reports ...........circa 30% of our total generation capacity is slated to be shut-down within 10 years ............but b/c of political ideology, and "on again ....off-again" type approach - no one in their right mind will spend the $$$ for new capacity (if returns are not "certain") ..........
how does one "value" the murray darling system ..........
how does one value native flora and fauna .............
basically - "smart" corporates will find a way to "transfer the cost" to 3rd parties, when they have the option to do so ..........its called a social liscence to operate !
as aussies - we have not "valued" the land and its contents very well .......which is why we have lost a metric truck load of topsoil ........go to the csiro website - chk what % of arable land is expected to become NFG as a result of clim change, and soil salinity / removal over the next 10 years ..........
yep - we is the bread basket of asia ............
sadly ...........not true !
if you think this is "ramblings" ......ask yourself "why" some of the biggest funds on the planet are buying the rights to water .....incl here in Oz ......
some people do not get this !
