Yes and no!
I’m a DIDO, half my time in Perth with the wife and kids and half the time a couple of hours north.
The wife said the other day, “ most of my friends think we’re separated “!
I set her straight, we both married late compared to most people we know.
We get to do what we need to be happy, we have respect for each other and neither of us are insecure in our relationship.
Also, we understand that if we lived 24/7 together she would dong me with a frying pan every other night
PS I would recommend having a house a couple of hours drive away with commitments to any couple, you just have to be prepared to do the drive when when the other half/kids need you or you need to get that family time fix
PPS If you know the towns between Perth and Gero, you may recognise the the jetty in the picture of the carpet snake on the beach?
