In the letter to shareholders from CML today they make a big deal about introducing petrol discounts to be able to compete with Woolies. Why is this such a big deal ? Do people who shop at Woolies actually keep the docket and drive all the way to a Woolies petrol station (They're very rare in SA) to save a dollar or two ? Are there lots of Woolworths Petrol outlets in the Eastern states ? I find it hard to believe petrol discounting is going to be the big saviour for CML .
