Flint Hills Resources to process additional supplies of Eagle Ford production
Koch Pipeline Co. LP will increase its crude oil pipeline transportation capacity by about 25% in January, 2010.
“With the expanded activity in the Eagle Ford production formation, we will be able to transport more domestically produced crude oil and gas condensates to our customer, Flint Hills Resources,” said Kim Penner, president of Koch Pipeline.
“This Koch Pipeline expansion fits well with Flint Hills Resources’ plan to run more domestic crude at our Corpus Christi refinery,” says Brad Urban, senior vice president of supply and trading for Flint Hills.
Koch Pipeline has about 540 miles of active crude oil transportation lines in these Texas counties: Fayette, Bastrop, Caldwell, Gonzales, Wilson, Karnes, Bee, Refugio, Victoria, Calhoun, San Patricio, Nueces, Kleberg, Jim Wells, Brooks and Starr. In addition, the company has ongoing relations with other crude distribution systems that further its ability to provide services in this growing production area.
Koch Pipeline currently operates about 4,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil, refined products, natural gas liquids and chemicals.
