    sort of --- I think there's often a more important issue -

and, that is if one is capable of using the technology - meaning that - if something can be set and forgot - and, doesn't require input by the older person.

My thoughts are of a lot of oldies I have dealt with - many are not technologically savvy - and, none of them are able to do anything if they fall and are unconscious -

I understand if they are willing and able to activate a panic button - but, if for some reason they cannot - then, most of the technology is not worth thinking about from their actual input POV.

that or those pebbell products look well worth looking into --- I think fall detection is crucial - and, two way voice is important as well -- (if they are happy with it and to be monitored where they are at any time) -

I like the idea of the apple device IF it works well - because it marries to a common communication device which a lot of them already use.

the dinosaurs are a problem - and, there's just so many of them about I find it difficult to believe --

mainly blokes ------ I continually meet older blokes - in their 60's and 70's who cannot use a computer, don't have a smart phone - but, the missus uses facebook - etc. etc.

for the dinosaurs - I really don't know the answer - but, what I do know is that if they were willing to wear a device - then their input would be nil - god knows how you would get the device charged.

For home environment - I would be looking at a robot - one that has the ability of presence in common areas and one that will be alert if they person disappears for a while and nothing is heard or seen and they aren't in bed or the like -- I haven't kept a good eye on them for this particular purpose - but, I did read that there is a lot going on in the space -

maybe a combination of a wearable device and a robot might work well? A wearable device that can charge really easily
