That's a good way to look at it particularly if they do go where you have been tipping them to go.
The biggest donation I ever made was to the Henry Walker clan and at the time I didn't see it as an act of generosity on my part. I kept buying (sorry donating), they kept falling and unfortunately they didn't stop.
I do have this crazy tendency to like an asset more, the cheaper the price gets. I have never understood the logic of people who look at a share price of say a dollar and don't buy and the next day when it is $1.20 they rush in and buy them. I tend to work the other way even if on occasion it does become a donation.
In several measures that I use to value stocks, this one looks cheap and I'm prepared to keep taking the punt.
