I work in tunnels and we are constantly monitoring the air quality as it's what decides if tunnels stay open or closed, portal emitting is a no no and RMS chucks a fit every time we portal emit, any time CO or NOx levels go out of bounds massive fines can be given and they do everything possible not to allow that to happen including the installation of a 50 million dollar ventilation system in the M5 tunnel alone not to mention lane cove tunnel and so on
at the moment we track our nox and co analyser and noise loggers in tunnel and external next to the air inlet and exhaust stacks on a scarter system, we have air quality monitoring system cabinets around the tunnel which we have to calibrate and maintain, just curious does PEH take over what we already do, meaning taking that task of anything that's got to do with environmental monitoring and equipment calibration and maintenance ? If that's the case I think PEH is going to do really well in the future RMS would find them very useful.
