Most likely all parties are being economic with the truth. Remember it is not COP obligation to answer anything and everything FAR ask. FAR had access to the data room plus the opportunity as you go through the data to request information/further details but the buying side (FAR) has to come up with a position based on its OWN assessment at somepoint There will also be a process of full disclosure prior to any final signinig so nothing can be hidden away.

Re the other parties did not object its only FAR - this may not be quite right as it may be nieither other party was interested so why get involved.

As for quoting FAR chairman well FAR have a clear reputation for presenting what they want when they want so very clear its very grey but it will sort its just are you sitting the right side of the fence when it does and if you brought in at <6c chances are makes no difference its a win win.
