skint, you may be right but the e-mail I got from Prana told me that that was not the case. It was known that PBT2 was given to the group but no report of results was given neither that a paper was published. IMO my e-mail was the first what they got about the results, thanks to headset.
But who knows, It is also possible that in spite the publication tells publication date to be 11th of Dec, in reality it perhaps came out perhaps even 10 days later or the mailing of it could be late, that is often the case with scientific publications.
IMO the Bohlmann et al paper is worth of money to Prana, Prana's well studied, phase 2 tested molecule could save millions of lives in few years. If Prana had known this during the 11th to 24th of Dec I do not think they had done the deal with Sinclair. This time is sure too short to a sudden news with huge potential with PBT2. Shorter time to the market than with PBT434 and a huge market potential. During this time of 2 weeks there were most likely not any contacts to Boholmann group and no understanding how to make progress with this new info. Prana did not know what it was selling to Sinclair and neither did Sinclair know what it was buying.
But skint you may know more than I. I think we will see soon what happens with this Sinclair offer and how the negotiations with Bohlmann group will one day end. They have also ownership in this invention. So what was almost sold in the Life deal is an open case to Prana and to Sinclair IMO. It could be that Sinclair is stronger negotiator with the Bohlmann group, who knows.
