    Interesting comment at the end of the video suggesting high rise buildings have a cost of around $1 million per year for airconditioning.

    It was suggested, that circulating water through the acquifer, as done by Pawsey, is something that could be done for them as well.

    I am wondering, if high rise/supercomputers/Facebook/Google etc. might be able to do the same thing, if located near the ocean?

    Of course they would not want to have salt water running through their pipes and causing corrosion.

    Instead, they could run warmed freshwater from the airconditioning through pipes looping below the ocean. The pipes and the freshwater would be cooled by the lower temperatures of the ocean. The cooled water would then be returned to cool the building, computer, factory, etc.

    This process would not be unlike the methodology behind Ceto 5 desalination.
