Paul Craig Roberts - 'Watching America Collapse', page-3

Is Paul Craig Roberts is an American traitor?  Is he a patriot?  You tell me.  Regardless of who sits in the Washington silly chair, Roberts, without fail, seems to  run down his own country for and on behalf of Putin.

If Roberts were  a  journalist he would focus on both US and Russian corruption ………. but no …………. Russia is ALWAYS just taken as a GIVEN  so that  conspiracy theory muck can rightly and wrongly be layered on the US.

Actual commentators follow their nose and their instincts to proffer both praise and criticism to all and sundry.  Roberts' stinging dialogue  points to another agenda.  One snippet of good news is that Roberts is mostly ignored these days by just about everyone outside of Putin's army of internet trolls.

Assuming Trump is impeached …. or more likely bails with a pardon from Pence before that happens …… the US will stay where it is.  The US economy won't collapse because of Trump's likely departure.  The markets will have mostly priced that event in.   Trump has disrupted the previous status quo in the US and that can be both a good and a bad thing.  We can but wait and see.  Regardless of what Roberts may say the only effective conspiracy against Trump is Trump's stupidly self incriminating twitter log.

If Putin had basic sense he wouldn't continue to play these silly games because they tend to backfire and  don't deliver any form of net longer term gain to Russia (or to Putin himself).  Putin continually fails to realise that political positions in western countries are  transient.  If Putin were not afraid of Russia following in the political footsteps of Western countries (i.e. become one itself) the paranoia which drives this ongoing dialogue would simply disappear.
