When Santos sp is raising, it is easy to be patriotic. When situation gets tough, it becomes difficult to hold such emotion. A few years ago, Santos board rejected a $6.88 takeover offer from an overseas private fund, but then decided later to raise capital at $3.85. Shareholders expressed their anger. Anybody who would buy Santos needed head read. So where were the “patriotic investors” at that time?
We all should be patriotic, but there are better places to be a patriot than owning shares. My humble opinion.
