According to the AFR today Austal has lost its appeal to overturn the patent decision banning it from building more Austal 94 ships (sold in '98 and '99).
Given that it is 10 years since they sold this design, I presume that it is not going to affect their revenue too much, but does anyone know if there is likely to be a claim for royalties?
This news can't have helped the sp in the last 2 days. With news on more contracts due in the next month or so, could be nearly time to start buying....
