my early experience in what is today telstra and included a commercial arm that is cdr, young and naive i believed that the upper echelons of state and national management new where to go and what to do,how disillusioned i became when decisions were made determining the future direction with absolutely no attention to detail resulting in losses 25yrs ago of hundreds of millions of dollars.
these things have never been published, now cdr previous management and board from the little knowledge i have looked like a gravy train, grand ideas while basking in the historical comfort of a large organisation that had an established precedence of service for government contracts, clearly the previous board had not considered the growing competition from those who worked hard to service the private sector.
cdr sp. is without question a high risk investment, that is not to say it has no value,if the management team are able to shift the business focus and improve the balance sheet it may very well survive, however it will not be the same old cdr. \ so going forward what areas do you think cdr might be able to grow or are there new areas that could be developed, would it be advantageous to merge with another entity creating a better organisation.
change brings opportunity, and is often accompanied by a great deal of grass roots dissatisfaction, however history teaches that those who are prepared to change have the best chance of survival,
and that should be the sole direction of our discussion, what beneficial change might acheive
