It is only one week to the end of the financial year so we will see if my prediction plays out.

My prediction is on the Northern NSW project. This has a 100% ownership option. The technical work has been excellent to date and the geology looks good for shallow extraction without loss or fraccing. The thickness is the bonus kicker for the geology and thus doesn't need much water to extract during gas production.

The reserves of gas are significant and independently verified.

NSW Government has cleared hurdles to date for the project.


The issue is that NSW needs new power generation investment for the next 20 years and beyound and LNG is seen as cleaner play with the carbon tax in play. Scaricity of gas cannot be underestimated. Origin Energy are the front runner for me but it could be another major.

Nor can one write off the desire of ROG to have this project funded and do so by the end of the financial year and that is why the market cap is so undervalued.
