Well it may well be a case of "only invest in what you understand", so you may be well advised to be cautious, after all how would you know the significance of any announcement, the personel, let alone the product itself.
If hypothetically this was still a mining company & the Chairman had creditials similar to David Perlmutter, how many shares would you own?? How much would you trust it? Of course there are no guarentees of success but the probability must be significantly higher than your typical startup.
Mr. David Perlmutter, also known as Dadi, serves as the Founding Partner and General Managing Partner of Eucalyptus Growth Capital. Mr. Perlmutter served as the Chief Product Officer and Executive Vice President at Intel Corporation from January 2012 to February 20, 2014 and December 2007 to February 20, 2014 respectively. He served as Senior Vice President at Intel Corporation from December 1, 2005 to 2007.
Mr. Perlmutter was responsible for the business and development of Intel’s platform solutions for all computing and communication segments including datacenters, desktops, laptops, handhelds, embedded devices and computer electronics that generated sales growth from $34 billion to $52 billion.
He was responsible for many of Intel product innovations as the i387, Pentium, Pentium Pro, Centrino and Core product lines and created new businesses for Intel mainly in the server and mobile computing market segments. Mr. Perlmutter served as Intel Corporation has 29 years, during which he held various management positions and was instrumental in developing several major products, businesses and technologies that impacted its business and transformed industries. He served as General Manager of Intel Architecture Group (IAG) from September 2009 to February 20, 2014.
Mr. Perlmutter also served in the capacity of Executive Vice President at Intel Architecture Group. He served as Senior Vice President at Intel Mobility Group since September 6, 2006 and as General Manager since January 2005 and its Corporate Vice President from January 21, 2004 to November 2005. He served as Vice President of Microprocessor Group and General Manager of Basic Microprocessor Division at Intel Israel Development Center, from 1996 to 2000. Mr. Perlmutter led the development teams of the i387 math coprocessor and i860 XP RISC processor in the Israel Development Center.
He also led the team that defined the initial direction for the Pentium processor microarchitecture. In 1992, Mr. Perlmutter served as General Manager of the Microprocessor Division responsible for the design, development and marketing of the Pentium Pro and the Pentium II processors. He served as Vice President and General Manager, Mobile Platforms Group since 2000 and became Co-Manager at Sean Maloney of Mobility Group in 2004.
