I should have responded to your post first. Yes, you are right about JPM's unofficial promise. Ted Butler had a great post on this a few months back regarding what transpired when JPM were essentially gifted Bear Stearns, inheriting thereby their hugh silver short position.

The two are in cahootz, in bed with each other. But it's all essentially about protecting the vile US dollar, without which the US would be clueless and helpless, unable to fund wars, corruption, food stamps and handouts and budget deficits.

The whole system is corrupt, one huge criminal cartel. It has been since at least 1913. US Presidents have been assassinated because of their attempts at cleaning up the corruption by moving to honest money. A huge no-no to those who control the money.

Fractional banking and interest payments are the MAIN, MAIN reason for the world's humungus, unpayable debts. And why a few mega-wealthy families have had dominance over global political affairs.

They who control the purse strings control the people.
