How do you intend to deal with it? A serious drag on human development? That logically thinking is ridiculous because it is part of the human condition. Anomalous perhaps but a part of the human condition none the less. Of course it has to be monitored along with a lot of other conditions and problems humans have like Narcissism, Psychopathy, sociopathy etc. IMO Religion has been a drag on human evolution up till recent times but humanity is waking up to the suppression that some religions have placed on the evolution of humans such as medical, technological over the centuries not to mention the belief that a supernatural being is our saviour and we should all bow down to him. Reminds me of the old cargo cults.
