I tend to agree with both Arkbaba and you Wack, very strong argument it is not alluvial a there is no indication the gold was freely moved by water to its current resting place. Even if this was an event way back at the time of forming of the Pibara Craton that involved some sort of precipation from a body of saltwater, you could argue its been locked up in that spot for millenia, whereas alluvial connotes water has moved in recent near past to its current resting place.
