Keep in mind that LIC premiums tend to rise in falling markets as people trust them for steady dividends and reliable returns in difficult times. Conversely, anyone can pick a winner in a bull market, so often LICs are deserted in times of rising indices.
ARG copped a bit of a beating today, in no small part due to MQG's significant fall. I'm still backing ARG all the way as an excellent long-term investment for people who want to be partner in numerous fine businesses.
Keep in mind that LIC premiums tend to rise in falling markets...
