Ethical business practices are always contentious and subjective when it comes to matters like these. Make your own mind up. Personally, I believe that if a consultant can pre-qualify a client, provide accurate factual information and general financial advice (which FCTG consultants are qualified to do already as registered insurance agents), a prospective client can make their own mind up about what's right for them in their personal situation.
This is no different than offering finance on a vehicle.
