Taking the mid-range, Aristocrat's expected EPS of 30c means that last night's closing price represented a p/e of more than 18 times.
That's way higher than the market will cop these days.
Worse, that net profit above will be hit further by a one-off loss of $22m (5c per share) representing class action settlement costs, offset by profits on property sales.
That will make EPS 25c and the p/e blows out to 22.
The SP needed to drop to reflect this.
It's now very good value for the medium to long term (2 - 5 years)
