It is simple, coal fire stations are just too costly to build and run in the future with the new carbon tax and tougher emission targets.
With the new labour government taken the helm. New/existing Gas fire stations will be the main generation assets with wind farm and other greener technologies to fill the gap for this country future energy needs.
It is making us more attractive to the bidders/suitors. Hope it can push the price up a little bit more.
