i admire your optimism and i hope you are correct - however - there is a very stong chance you are completely wrong.
there are a number of trade journals - debt wire etc - to whom the hedge funds speak /leak to - who do not see it this way.
the hedge funds will do their best to prevent any asset sale - and they have said as much - see the recent debt wire articles on the topic.
there is a very strong chance that the hedge funds will prevail -they own the company now - not us - and we should not expect any favours at all (see BBI etc)
the shareholders only hope is to get management to hang tough and be prepared to place the finance co into administration.
shareholders need to be organised and make sure that their voice is heard - if history is a guide this will almost be imposible given that it is largely mums and dads on the register but for GPG.
However, GPG will do what is best for its shareholders and the hedge funds will try and buy them off - see Brookfield BBI Macquarie etc
remain realistic and prepare to get organised and to fight or the shareholders have a good chance of being shafted.
