I doubt they will be happy with the comms being made in China, there's a lot of communications and smarts in an electric vehicle. I'm sure no one will want the Chinese government (or Huwaei) bugging these vehicles or installing time bombs or 'back-door' hacks. Maybe the technology can be added later to ensure security. I think that's probably what they will end up doing. Just thinking out loud here.
