Well the market is expecting a deal IMO. Everywhere in the media there appears to be that expectation. However I suspect that Lighthizer is running the show (with Trump's imprimatur) - both the Dems and Republicans are treating him with respect. Lighthizer has been focused on this issue for decades, and it may be that contrary to media expectations, he will be allowed to make the call on it.
We will see. I'm not certain of any particular outcome. We don't know how desperate the Chinese side is either. They know they have been criminals I believe. They may do a complete mea culpa! That would be great for the world, and for Bluescope.
