Hmm, Above was a throw away line, but have since run some figures.
As per LSE today, SOLG Market cap is GBP 405 mill = circa AUD 712 million.

DGRs 12.04% = AUD 85.72 million.

of which 30% = AUD 25.7 million.

Across 613 181 877 DGR ordinary shares on issue = 4.19 cps.

Leaving DGR with a 8.78% of SOLG remaing..

4.19 cps !!,
The announcement of the payout alone would add 50% to DGR sp (granted temporarily until going ex payment)
But even then would we retreat 50%?
I dont think so, , we would probably retreat 30% of 50%, or 15%, because that is the percentage the market appears to value our investment shares at, and it would be an indication that value can be extracted from a DGR shareholding.

OK, in anticipation of the argument that we should wait until takeover, and the value will be goodness knows, but threefold that is easily believable, - How much of that "threefold" do you think we will actually see? we could have paid out the 30% when the offers were coming in in the 40+pence zone.. not the 20+ it is now.
Nothing wrong with taking profit off the table.
SOLG is in fact, an investment company.

I have no idea - and perhaps it is about time DGR had a policy to clarify this to shareholders so we do not remain in the dark, this also may gove the market more confidence in DGR and help close the NTA.
