mandurah - my thinking 100%. There's a few of us, and growing in number, on the same page.
My observation is similar to yours, that RM is a very purposeful, persistent and professional operator. Oh, I forgot one .... patient.
I've also mentioned this more than once before over the last couple of years, that since Ron took up the cudgels, a friend of mine who heads up the Asia regional O&G association and who has previously headed up various Australian mines and energy (and O&G) government departments (including WA), and has also worked at senior levels in the industry (i.e. a reliable/credible source) - knows Ron well and has a high regard for him as a very competent, safe pair of hands, saying that OEX was lucky to have him on board.
Basically saying to be wary of small O&G companies as many (most?) of them are extremely high risk, dodgy, with poor track records. However, OEX stood a better chance of success with Ron at the helm.
If we don't succeed it won't be because of anything lacking on Ron's part, regardless of scuttlebutt that get's around on this thread.
I've never actually met Ron, but I'd like to shake his hand one day and thank him for getting us back on track with a chance now of success.
It's now up to the professional drill, fracc and test crews to perform and for the geology to fess up.
I'm back in the money, at long last, and turning a profit - hopefully OEX will compensate for my absolutely disastrous oversized holding in NEN that went down the toilet.
