I'll bet i know why they ceased to trade "a day early" they forgot to factor in the public holiday next week, under normal circumstances it WOULD have bben today, as next Friday is the last trading day of the month and they cease to trade exactly a week before that, hence Thursday was D day, now the mad scramble by shareholders to find exercise funds, or simply forfeit, pretty bad if in fact it stated that in an announcment :-(
