Hi Guys,

Been watching the action as well, not too surprised the price has not moved as I think the contracts were already factored into the price. I have been in and out of ASB for about 5-6 years now and always glance at the action.

Some things that may be contributing to holding the SP down (IMHO);

1. The most dissapointing thing for me over the years is the poor PE/divi, or return on the money I have invested in the stock.
2. With our AUS$ so high the earnings from thr US operation will not be as great as before.
3. I am not too sure how the Aussie operation is going, though I believe the boat building market is all but shot at the moment.
4. There was talk in some of the articles that the US Gov were wanting to negotiate the contracts with a sharper pencil. Until the market can see what those earnings (and returns to SH's) is going to be, we probably won't see too much price rise.
5. If the earnings and return are not great in the near term the SP could be back in the $2 rapidly.
6. I am not in the boat or marine industry so I can only 2nd guess ann's and can only go on the the experience I have gained by being in and out of ASB many times over the years.

Obviously all just my opinion, though I will wait to see what the earnings are before I commit, there is more being made in other stocks ATM.
