Newsletter from my stockbroker commented about the amount of Private Equity capital floating around at the moment looking for new acquisitions (citing recent takeovers including HSP and Julia Ross).
The Coal sector is a hot sector for M& A. Both Riversdale and Whitehaven are usually mentioned as the 2 more obvious targets.
I can see an initial takeover bid for Riversdale sometime this year at around $14.50.
I'm particularly interested in any involvement Vale has with
Riversdale as Riversdale's coal deposits could make a good fit.
