You may be a true believer when it comes to AAD. But I try to consider the scraps of detail provided by AAD in a real world context. Do you do the same? I doubt it as you seem to accept details on face value without exploring the logic of a situation before arriving at a conclusion.

A recent example:"A safety sensor was to blame for the stoppage, after it was triggered and immediately stopped the ride halfway into the vertical climb to the peak." (That is from the AAD incident statement, correct?)

“These safety systems are designed to bring the ride to a safe stop in a dedicated evacuation zone.” (That is from the Movie World or AAD incident statement, correct? Either way it applies to both companies.)

Which of the above statements is true and correct? Or should I conclude that "halfway into the vertical climb to the peak." is "a dedicated evacuation zone"? (for the safety system on the AAD ride.)

The incident at the Green Lantern Coaster at Movie World was caused 'after a wheel became dislodged' on one of the carts. The safety system then prevented a second cart on the same track but at a different location from crashing into the disable cart.

Yes, thankfully the safety system worked, as it should.

This incident nevertheless highlights the need for a complex level of responsibility to be maintained across all facets of a ride's functional safety. People's lives are put at risk by the simple fact that it physically places them in elevations and inclines well beyond their everyday experiences.

A witness on the ground captured this fact when she said: "It was pretty frightening to watch. I could see where the wheel had fallen off."

To rely solely on a technological system, without the other levels of backup in place, is to invite a situation where injury or loss of life can occur.

The Movie World roller coaster features the "steepest drop in the Southern Hemisphere", [and is] 33 metres tall and [can] reach a top speed of 66 kilometres an hour.

Hardly a storm in a teacup ride when one considers the forces at play within and upon these monsters.
