“ [The] Green Lantern Coaster at Movie World experienced a brief stoppage for approximately 30 minutes after the ride’s safety systems were engaged following a computer fault,” a spokesman said yesterday.
“These safety systems are designed to bring the ride to a safe stop in a dedicated evacuation zone.”
One car of passengers was evacuated in the dedicated zone while guests in another car exited after the fault cleared and ride was restarted.
The same ride malfunctioned in March last year stranding some people for up to 3.5 hours."
Happened in November 2016 and March 2015 on the same ride.
Sound familiar? Not uncommon at theme parks. No one injured and the ride restarted. Storm in a teacup this time.
