'No comparison here. Oversensitive safety sensor. Happens at all parks from time to time.'

"A safety sensor was to blame for the stoppage, after it was triggered and immediately stopped the ride halfway into the vertical climb to the peak."

The most relevant question is what caused the sensor to trip in the first place. Definitively answer that question and you identify whether it was a machine fault or service fault or environmental fault or even operator fault.

'Exactly what triggered the sensor has not been determined, but the most common causes are an animal or weather.'

Can't see any animal in the footage and the weather looks like clear blue sunshine to my eyes. I wonder what type of animal behaviour they elude to? Sea gull droppings on the face of a motion triggered cell? Install a self-washing system or first run safety inspection before opening the ride to the public. How does the weather effect the sensors – as ASA mandates weatherproof installation of sensors in outside environments!

Fail safe systems are surely required by law in Queensland? Any other means other than "auto-stopping" as in a failsafe means of stopping the motion of the carriages is unthinkable in this day and age. But " resetting of rides is a regular…part of operations" raise many more questions than it attempts to answer.

Does AAD not know of the bath tub graph? A basic concept used to graphically measure the operational life of a given device (and measured by every manufacturer to ensure the qualitative service life of its products). If the sensors fail on a regular basis then why? Could it mean that the type of installed sensor is unsuitable for the application?

Are records kept of what percentage of failures occur in any given period of time? If not why not?

AAD needs to cease with the generalisations and find out for the sake of the paying public and for the sake of AAD shareholders.

Does AAD employ/ have on contract a structural and electrical consultant with an engineering background? If not why not?

If it occurs due to "sensor alignment" then who is responsible for creating a system of monitoring where such instances do not occur on a "regular" basis?

Modern systems to counter harsh environmental factors have been around for decades and are routinely used in mining and heavy industrial environments with consistent and reliable effect.

I am very interested to learn what type of "guest behaviour" would cause the shutdown of a ride at such a steep angle of incline. Anyone care to explain that scenario to me?

Please can someone inform me of a manufacturer who would warrant their product if it was not installed to the "manufacturer's specifications."
