Not right. A broker and a "bot" can place a one share order to buy or sell. And often does. This does lead to other one share orders filled to supply the balance of the order that was only filled partially by one share.

There lies the problem. It has become a game, a game of gambling. It should be a business and not a game. If it is a game then the rules should be the same for all participating and there should be a fearless referee. If it is a business there should be ethics.
