Roulette, I don't want to get into a debate on an MCR forum, but all I can say is, a level playing field is when we all OWN a share. If we own it, then we ALL hope it goes up in price as we OWN a part (ie share) of the coy. We've even got the ridiculous situation where some shares can be shorted and some can't.
There is a reason why some countries have in place shorting bans, and why imprisonment has been imposed as penalties in some areas.
There is a reason why shorting is banned in many countries during and after a financial crisis. I.E it creates artificial volatility that is completely unrelated to the fundamentals of coys. Yet, greed gets the better of them and often shorting bans are lifted. You'd think we'd learn.
Look, I used to be one of these people. Shorting the market and making money from it. And it was wrong.
