One of my shorting stocks, page-14

Sorry Gat, it is shorting. I know the concept well, having made good money out of it pre GFC via cfd's. (well with cfd's it was slightly different at is was simply a bet)
The fact is that you are selling something you don't own. How is this in the best interests of any company in Australia?
Read any historical analysis of the great crashes in the past century and shorting is to blame for the extremity of the crash. Now it may not be the cause itself, but it sure does ruin people's lives because of the bets against a company. At those times, govt's decide to act, full well known shorting has ruined things, but tend to relax the rules after awhile.
I decided to ban myself from shorting post GFC as I simply don't believe in destroying peoples lives or businesses.
