I've just gone back over all the 2011-2013 company announcements to satisfy my own mind about who was where when. It brought back sh)yte memories, brrrr.
The 76H drill fiasco was played out in early 2012.
My memory was surprisingly good, considering - RM was a director at the time and stepped unto the plate to fill the breach as acting MD in early 2013 on the departure Dr Macarthy due to health reasons. After a professional head-hunt RM was later appointed as MD.
All I can say is that we were damn lucky to have someone of Ron's calibre on the board and willing to take this role. Ron was probably one of Max's best/timely appointments on the Board - well done Max.
Ron's no spring chicken though, he's been around the O&G industry at senior levels for a long time and knows what he's doing. He's probably older than you blackhat and is well credentialed and connected (not saying that you're not)!! Plus, he's got skin in this project.
A lot of water has flowed ... blah blah .... and the company has since renewed all key operational managers at Cambay.
So let's draw a line under the former matters - we are here now and must deal with OEX as it currently stands.
It has hurt us all over the years, but I tell you what, it's very sobering to review this material and the great resource under our lease/s at Cambay.
My only problem now is knowing when to sell.
