this is democracy -- 'of the people, by the people, for the people'

the bit that Americans struggle with is 'for the people'

America has a bit of an issue with democracy ------------ they run their own version of it -

this is where the problem lies when you have well spoken people that come up with such outlandish ideas like sympathy, empathy and compassion -

no wonder conservatives can't get a grip on it - they just don't get and certainly don't practice

'for the people'
